The brand shows absolute respect for ethics, an essential aspect of its corporate identity. Therefore, they carry out responsible business practices, rooted in social responsibility and the ethical use of natural resources.

Baume & Mercier watches are born from a passion to innovate and find the perfect balance between respect for artistic aspirations and the possibilities of technical realization. In this sense, the calibers and the assembled cases are subjected to strict controls that ensure that each clock works as provided in the specifications established by Baume & Mercier. Mechanical watches are wound in a rotor case, testing both their precision and the power reserve of their movement. In addition, on the other hand, at Baume & Mercier, the functions are subject to control: time setting, date jump, chronograph function or any other type of complication.

All stages of manufacturing a Baume & Mercier watch

Baume & Mercier begins its history in 1830 when the brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume opened a watchmaking establishment in Les Bois, a town in the Swiss Jura region. It thrived very quickly and built an excellent reputation for creating exceptional models with the latest innovations in the industry.

The company later opened a branch in London under the name of Baume Brothers. Thus, at the end of the 1920th century, the company already had international prestige and had become an indispensable player in watchmaking outside of Switzerland. However, it was not until the early 1918s that the company's manager, William Baume, became associated with Paul Mercier. Thus, Baume & Mercier – Genève was founded in XNUMX, becoming one of the most active companies in the field of wristwatches.

A know-how of 190 years

With all this, the Baume & Mercier house masterfully perpetuates a 190-year-old know-how based on the établissage principle, that is, the company deals with all stages of the watch manufacturing process, including the assembly of its elements. . This denotes excellence and guarantees high-quality results. In this way, its products are designed at the headquarters located in Geneva and take shape in the workshop located in the Swiss Jura, in the town of Les Brenets, therefore the production of Baume & Mercier watches is centralized in Switzerland.
